A prominent Iraqi family living in the Kurdish region of Iraq is seeking to hire an English language tutor for its children, ages 6 and 9 years old. The children go to school and learn some English there but the family wishes to enhance this learning in the afternoons and weekends. The tutor will live with the family in Erbil and teach 3-4 hours per day, partially formally and partially through conversation, help with homework, and so on. The tutor’s contract will be considered full-time and be for the school year, starting as soon as possible. The family is looking for a tutor who is experienced and skilled in English language teaching to children. Certification in TESOL is not necessary but helpful. Neither Kurdish nor Arabic is needed. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker or speaker with native-like fluency who has lived internationally and is used to other cultures. Please provide references and a salary history.
